Terms, license and refunds
Plain-language terms for our files and this website.
Last updated: October 27, 2026.
These are the plain-language terms for Local Shift files and this website. They match the information on our Payhip product pages. They are not legal advice.
An organizing tool, not advice
Local Shift files and pages are organizing tools. They are not tax, legal or financial advice and make no promise about income or results. They do not tell you what is deductible or what mileage rate to use: you enter the rates you choose. Figures are only as accurate as the information you enter. Sample data in the files and on this site is made up. Ask a qualified professional about taxes, contracts and legal questions.
License
- Interpreter Business Kit: single-user license. You may use the file to manage your own freelance records and make copies for your own backup. You may not resell, share, redistribute or give away the file or any part of it. Purchase does not transfer rights to the design or formulas.
- Free tracker: free to use for your own business records. Please do not resell or redistribute the file.
If a colleague wants a copy, please point them to the free tracker page or this site.
Purchases and delivery
Files are digital downloads sold through Payhip at the price shown on the product page. You get the file right after checkout. The kit is a one-time purchase, with no subscription.
Refunds and support
If a file is defective or will not open, email team.localshift@gmail.com and we will fix it or refund you. Because these are digital downloads, sales are otherwise final once the file has been downloaded. Refunds are issued through the payment method used at checkout (Stripe or PayPal). Processing fees on the original payment may not be returned by the payment provider.
If we fix a problem in a file, we will upload a corrected version and you can email us for it. We do not promise an update schedule.
Compatibility
The files are standard .xlsx workbooks with no macros. We tested them in Google Sheets and LibreOffice. They should open in Excel, but we have not tested Excel. We have not tested the Google Sheets phone app.
This website
Pages on this site are general information and may be out of date or incomplete. The guides are checklists, not professional practice advice. Links to other sites, such as Payhip, are provided for convenience, and those sites have their own terms.
